Ahmet Acar / Istanbul, April 20 (DHA) - The march of local residents and tourists on the water system route of ancient Patara reflected a carnival atmosphere, in the famous destination of Kaş district, in Antalya province. At least two thousand people marched the 12-kilometer route, with horses, donkeys, camels and sheep, at the 11th Ancient Patara Water System March festival, organised by local municipality and Patara Culture And Promotion Association on Monday. Chuigtrane Borsdorf from Germany said, "This is a tradition to be lived. Musicians, folklore shows, Yuruks (Turkish nomads in Anatolia), warm people. I am really impressed" marching with the group. "We aim to transfer our tradition and folkway to our childeren" said Muzaffer Otlu, the Coordinator of the Organisation. "We are marching with our horses, goats, camels, just like during the Seljuk, Ottoman and Republic eras."
