Istanbul, August 3 (dha) - Consumer prices rose by 0.09 percent in July, while domestic producer prices fell by 0.32 percent in the same period, according to the data released by Turkstat on Monday.

Consumer prices rose by 4.85 percent in the first seven months of the year and annual inflation fell to 6.81 percent, down from 7.2 percent at the end of June while the prices rose by 8.07 percent on twelve months moving averages basis.

Domestic producer prices fell by 0.32 percent on monthly basis, increased by 5.15 percent in the first seven months of the year and increased by 5.62 percent on annual basis and increased by 6.43 percent on the twelve months moving averages basis.

The highest monthly increase was 1.60 percent in furnishings and household equipment in July, the indices rose for hotels, cafes and restaurants 1.21 percent, for alcoholic beverages and tobacco 1.16 percent, for education 0.51 percent and for transportation 0.41 percent.

The highest monthly decrease was observed by 4.97 percent in clothing and footwear in July, the indices declined for recreation and culture 0.18 percent and for communications 0.01 percent.

The highest annual increase was 13.80 percent in hotels, cafes and restaurants, followed by miscellaneous goods and services with 9.31 percent, food and non-alcoholic beverages with 9.25 percent, furnishings and household equipment with 8.69 percent and housing with 8.15 percent.

In July 2015 within average prices of 426 items in the index, average prices of 59 items remained unchanged while average prices of 245 items increased and average prices of 122 items decreased.
