Gülseli Kenarlı / Istanbul, June 23 () - Hig rate of increase in both for total and mortgaged house sales in Turkey, slowed in May, according to the House Sales Statistics data released by Turkstat on Tuesday.

In Turkey, house sales increased by 19.4 percent to 108 thousand units in May, against the same month of the previous year, while mortgaged house sales rose by 34.7 percent, having 37.2 percent share of all house sales, over the same period.

The mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey rose by 96.5 percent in April on annual basis, while total house sales increased by 42.7 percent over the same period.

First house sales in Turkey rose by 18.2 percent 49 thousand units, with having 45.4 percent share of all house sales in Turkey.

In house sales to foreigners, İstanbul was the first province with 636 sales in May 2015. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 546 house sales, Bursa with 128 house sales, Aydın with 111 house sales, Yalova with 104 house sales and Trabzon with 90 house sales.
