Istanbul, Aug 31 () – The net profit of the banking industry rose by 5.7 percent to 15 billion 535 million liras in the first seven months of the year, against in the same period of the last year.
According to data released by the Council of Bank Audit and Regulation, the total credits of the banking sector reached 1 trillion 429 billion liras with an increase of 25.6 percent in the same period, while total assets rose by 22.8 percent to 2 trillion 274 billion liras.
The capital adequacy ratio of the banking sector, furthermore, was 15.09 percent at the end of July.
